Las Rocosa Australian Shepherds is
located in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Kiowa Colorado
and has the honor of being the Australian Shepherd Club of America's
#1 Hall of Fame kennel and having been a major force in the breed since before the inception of
ASCA in 1957. Ernest Hartnagle played a major hand in the organizing of ASCA and
the entire family have always been involved as volunteers, breeders, competitors and judges. Las
Rocosa Aussies can be found all over the world competing in conformation, obedience,
herding trials, agility and flyball. As well, many Las Rocosa dogs prove their Aussie
heritage every day in working situations on farms and ranches worldwide. Still
specializing first and foremost in quality family companions...The Best For The

With deep appreciation and respect we would like to thank the
members of the Terry-All Kennel Club, Inc. for nominating our family and the Las
Rocosa Kennel for the prestigious American Kennel Club Lifetime Achievement
Award 2003!
The Las Rocosa website was Joseph Hartnagle's
vision. His vision became a reality as he worked closely with Jeni Gallichan of
Mikatura Design who created the website.
Joe wanted a simple, cleanly designed site
where visitors could become acquainted with the wonderful dogs that became such
an important part of our lives. Jeni integrated his ideas into the design which
reflected his unique personality, love of family, beautiful dogs, flowers, music
and the ranch.
We will continue to add new pages, but the
original pages, pictures and music Joseph chose will remain unchanged for
posterity as his gift to all of us.
