Sire: Taylor's Whiskey
Dam: Taylor's Buena
Breeder: Joe Taylor
Owners: Elaine & Jeanne Joy Hartnagle
Based on Hud's supremacy, we purchased a female
from the same cross. She was christened Hartnagle's Fritzie Taylor. Fritzie was the creme
de la creme. Like Hud, Fritzie was a grinner. Whenever you would walk into the
house, she would greet you with a slipper, ball, magazine or whatever else was handy.
Fritzie had a gentle spirit until it came to handling rank stock.
She would so completely establish her authority with the swiftness of her movements that
once she subdued the rebels, they made no further attempt to escape.

Four Blues
Fritzie absolutely loved our Mom. The bond was so strong that, when
it was time for Fritzie to whelp one of her litters, she would seek out our mother to be
by her side. It was like she waited for Mom to be present before she gave birth to a
single puppy.

Fritzie continued in the tradition of producing beautiful, sound, working
dogs that included many champions of record. Fritzie made the ASCA Honor Roll of
Conformation and Working Sires and Dams, and was bestowed with the prestigious Dog World
Award for Canine Distinction for her outstanding offspring. She was remarkable in
every way.
One of the most successful crosses occurred between Fritzie Taylor and HOF Sire CH Las Rocosa Shiloh. The cross was repeated on
several occasions and invariably produced excellent results such as CH
Las Rocosa Leslie CSD, CH Las Rocosa Ricky Taylor, CH Las Rojo Hombre, CH Las Rocosa
Blue Brocade and Las Rocosa Rose, who are all found in the pedigrees of many famous
bloodlines.
Fritzie is the dam of a number of the
breeds' foundation individuals that include:
- CH Las Rocosa Leslie
CSD
- CH Las Rocosa Ricky Taylor
- CH Las Rocosa Rojo Hombre
- CH Las Rocosa Blue Brocade
- CH Las Rocosa Rose
all sired by Shilo.
Not only does Fritzie live on through her progeny, but she still lives in
our hearts. Her epitaph reads:
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the genle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush...
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
